About The Sound on Stage
In 2018, fate cast Greg Heilman and Matt Haver as brothers on stage. That brotherhood extended off the stage through a shared love of the performing arts. In 2020 they decided to use their down time to learn more about the arts, and the Heilman & Haver podcast was born. Their podcast grew over the years to include book reviews, stage reviews, Hollywood insider interviews, and event hosting.
In the fall of 2023, Matt decided to put the three years of education their guests gave them to good use, and turned his attention to directing for the stage and penning an adapted screenplay. You can find out more about his current projects and ongoing voicework at matthaver.com. (He might just have another podcast up his sleeve as well.) Greg took what they built together, and made The Sound on Stage.
The Sound on Stage is collaborative effort to foster the community that the performing arts creates. Whether you tread the boards, provide music, shine the lights, paint the sets, work the front of house, or are just a fan, we want to share the love of art with everyone. Make a movie? We’d love to share it. Play music? We want to amplify it. Work in live theater? We want everyone to see your work! Let’s build relationships, showcase talent, share resources, and see the performing arts grow!
About Greg
Originally from SE Pennsylvania, Greg moved with his family to the PNW in 2014. Shortly thereafter, Greg was introduced to local theatre, first as “Angry Santa” (among others) in A Christmas Story, then went on to be in five shows over the next two years.
A longtime fan of film and the stage, Greg brings a natural curiosity and genuine interest to his interviews and a critical, but level-headed philosophy to his reviews. He is a former member on Board of Directors of the Historic Roxy Theatre in Bremerton, WA, and is a current member of the American Theatre Critics Association. Greg is dedicated to increasing awareness of the arts in the community and beyond.
