Key City Public Theatre (Denise Winter)

Our latest Get to Know a Theatre feature takes us to the historic and picturesque town of Port Townsend, WA, and Key City Public Theatre. Executive Artistic Director Denise Winter took some time out of her schedule to talk to us about Key City, its history and its unique place within the community of Port Townsend. Denise spoke about her philosophy of programming, the excellent educational programs and support for the next generations of actors and creatives that Key City provides, and gave us a preview of next season, which was recently made public.

Key City provides is audiences with a combination of original works and existing plays and musicals, each showcasing the amazing creative talent that exists in the region, and each challenging and timely. The theatre is truly a gem that not enough people know about. We hope that this shines a bit of a light on the wonder that is Key City Public Theatre.
